About Author

David McAuley is the author of Paul's Covert Use of Scripture: Intertextuality and Rhetorical Situation in Philippians 2:10-16. He earned his BSc in Computing from the University of the West of Scotland, Paisley, his BA in Theology from International Christian College, Glasgow, and his PhD in Biblical Studies from the University of Aberdeen. Before undertaking theological study, he worked for IBM in engineering, consultancy, and management.

 

Dr. McAuley's committment to theological education and writing has its precurser in over 20 years of research, development, and the delivery of global education in the IT industry. His research has been published in scientific journals and technical bulletins, and he has co-authored 7 books in the field of IT storage technology. He has taught classes throughout the US, Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Far East.

 

After 22 years working for IBM, Dave's theological conviction led him to full-time engagement in Christian education and ministry. He has taught New Testament at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in college, mission and church contexts. He is a member of the British New Testament Society (BNTS), the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) and the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS). Dave has also served as an associate minister, teaching elder, and is committed to the evangelism, apologetics and discipleship ministries of the church. He is an advocate for the Christianity Explored and Life Explored courses.
